Sari Balsam, LCSW

Sari Balsam is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 9 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and women to process trauma, heal attachment wounds, and navigate challenges such as anxiety, depression, and difficult relationships. She has provided support across a range of settings, including schools and community clinics, offering compassionate, individualized care.

Sari’s work at Daas Wellness Center, a clinic serving the Monsey community, has deepened her understanding of the unique emotional needs of women and adolescents. Additionally, her extensive experience in schools throughout Rockland County has allowed her to provide targeted support to children, helping them to improve emotional regulation, and navigate complex emotions and challenges both at home and in school.

As a Certified Sand Tray Therapist, she draws on specialized trainings in Sand Tray Therapy as well as Somatic Intervention, which allows clients to access and express complex inner experiences beyond the limits of verbal communication. Sand Tray Therapy offers a powerful, symbolic medium for emotional processing. Sari guides her clients in tuning into their bodies to release stored trauma and build greater emotional resilience and safety. She also integrates psychodynamic techniques and mindfulness practices, tailoring each session to meet the unique needs of the individual.

Sari’s goal is to provide a safe, supportive space where clients feel comfortable exploring their emotions, childhood experiences, and past traumas. She places a strong emphasis on building a trusting therapeutic relationship, recognizing it as the cornerstone of meaningful healing. Sari aims to empower her clients to reconnect with their inner strengths, view life’s challenges as opportunities for growth, and move forward with increased self-awareness, confidence, and clarity on their personal healing journey.
